Privacy Policy
Privacy isn't an afterthought here — the app runs offline on your computer, and your email designs and recipient data are never uploaded to us.
Last updated: 18 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information NoCodeDoc ("we", "us") collects when you use the Email Designer Pro website and app, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.
On this page
1. The short version
- Your email designs and any recipient data you import stay on your computer. They are not sent to our servers.
- Projects saved in the app are encrypted at rest (AES-256) on your computer.
- We use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used so we can improve it. Beyond that and a small light/dark theme preference, we don't set advertising or profiling cookies.
- We only collect personal information when you contact us or buy a Pro licence.
2. What we collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Purchase information — when you buy Pro, our payment provider collects the details needed to process payment. We receive limited information such as your name, email address, country, and an order or licence identifier. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Support information — if you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
- Basic technical logs — like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log requests (for example IP address, browser type, and pages requested) to keep the site secure and running. We do not use these to build advertising profiles.
3. Your designs & recipient data
Email Designer Pro is built to keep your data with you. When you design emails or import a CSV/JSON of recipients:
- the data is processed on your computer;
- saved projects are stored locally on your device, encrypted with AES-256;
- this data is not transmitted to us and we cannot see it.
Because this data lives on your device, clearing the app's data or uninstalling it will delete it. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of any work you want to keep.
4. How we use information
We use the limited information we collect to: process your purchase and issue your licence; provide customer support; keep the Service secure and working; meet legal and accounting obligations; and, only if you have opted in, send you occasional product updates. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Cookies & local storage
We keep this light:
- Theme preference — we store your light/dark choice in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it. This is not a tracking cookie.
- App data — the app stores your projects (encrypted) on your computer so your work persists between sessions.
- Google Analytics — we use Google Analytics (GA4) to see how visitors find and use the website, such as which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are located, and which device they use, so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes this usage data on our behalf as a measurement tool; we do not use it for advertising. Analytics only loads after you accept our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. You can also read Google's Privacy Policy, install Google's opt-out browser add-on, or block cookies in your browser settings.
6. Who we share with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the Service, and only as needed:
- our payment provider, to process purchases;
- our hosting provider, to serve the website;
- Google Analytics, to measure and improve website usage;
- authorities or others where required by law, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
7. How long we keep it
We keep purchase and support records for as long as needed to provide the Service, support your licence, and meet legal or accounting requirements, then delete or anonymise them. Data stored on your computer stays until you delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including HTTPS for the website and AES-256 encryption for saved projects on your computer. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but keeping your sensitive data on your own device — rather than on our servers — significantly reduces the risk.
9. Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 (and, if you are in the EU/UK, the GDPR), you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can withdraw consent to marketing at any time. To make a request, email us at support@nocodedoc.com. You may also complain to the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner if you're not satisfied with our response.
10. International users
We are based in New Zealand. If you use the Service from elsewhere, be aware that any information we collect (such as purchase details) may be processed in New Zealand or in the countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws.
11. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
